Email to the Editor: Black Diamond Community Center Offers Thanks

Executive Director Cheryl Hanson thanks the Black Diamond community, Puget Sound Energy, YarrowBay and Mutual of Enumclaw for their participation in the Harvest Moon Auction Nov. 3.

The Black Diamond Community Center celebrates success of the Harvest Moon Auction that was held November 3rd, at the Center in Black Diamond.  The yearly event was sold out.  The sponsors for this event were Mutual of Enumclaw, the YarrowBay Group, and PSE.  The generous donations from these sponsors, all those who attended, and the net proceeds of $27,498.83 will allow us to continue services to the community.  The money we received will help the seniors, youth, and families who need a helping hand.  All who attended gave from their hearts to provide funds for: our food bank, gas vouchers for those who need to get to medical appointments or job interviews, personal hygiene items or rental assistance.  It is the season of Thankfulness, and we at the BDCC are very, very thankful for our community, and those who support us and all we do.

Cheryl Hanson, Executive Director

Hi, Susan and Lou. We do know that our events calendar has issues at the moment with incorrect timesRead More displaying, and our engineering team is at work to correct this. My best suggestion at the moment is to post a comment on an event with the correct time, if you aren't able to go in and edit an event that you previously posted. Our ownership has not changed -- we have been and continue to be a part of the AOL family. Our intent with the new design is to highlight the great content that our users create and share with the community. We know there have been some bumps with our launch and are working diligently to fix them. We hope you'll be patient with us and continue to share on Patch.
