I would like to take this opportunity to say goodbye to the wonderful city of Enumclaw.
Over the last 14 years I have called this city my home and have been blessed to call some pretty amazing people my friends.
It has been a privilege to serve on the Enumclaw Rotary board in a number of capacities, and to have so many great memories...being the public relations chair under current president, Lauren Hardman, has been a blast. If you aren't a Rotarian yet, I would encourage you to check it out...the local club offers wonderful opportunities to serve others and make a difference locally, regionally and internationally.
Working closely with Rene Popke and Jaclyn VanHoof and the Enumclaw Streetfair has for sure been one of my most memorable experiences. Those two girls ROCK!
I've had the chance to work on different city projects, including the Enumclaw Downtown Partnership, and more recently the initial planning for the Centennial Celebration. It has always been a great time of brainstorming and teamwork with those dedicated to making the city a great place for all.
And last, but certainly not least, has been my last 12 months at The Summit. What an amazing group of believers who are all about loving God and loving others. It has been refreshing to be a part of this local body of Christ and to experience healing and renewal alongside leadership committed to emotionally healthy spirituality.
At first I was moving up to Kirkland to be closer to my youngest son, but am now detouring to San Antonio, TX to help my brother care for my 90 year old mom.
Thanks to all of you I call friend, and may this Christmas season be an especially meaningful one for each one of you!
