MUDDY WATERS

I have been following the campaign for fire commissioner in Dist. 28 since the beginning. From my perspective, Ms. Stubblefield is the only one who has tried to run a clean and respectable campaign. All of this rhetoric about signs is just another tactic to discredit Ms Stubblefield. Mr. Reed has even gone so far as to call her “a liar”.  Mr. Reed points out that he “has no clue” as to who is taking these signs, but turns around and places the blame on Ms. Stubblefield supporters.

The fact that Ms. Stubblefield is a volunteer firefighter in another district has nothing to do with her ability to be a commissioner, the real problem is having members of the same union (IAFF) on the board of commissioners and approving contracts for their district 28 IAFF members.  Being members of the same union is the issue, not being firefighters. Mr. Reed represents the Union, not the public.

Mr. Reed is just more of the same that the fire district has been suffering from. Its time to change leadership and turn this mess around.
