Ribbon Cutting, Trick-Or-Treating, Wine Walk and More in October from Enumclaw Chamber

Here is October's update of upcoming events and announcements from the Enumclaw Area Chamber of Commerce.

Great things are happening with the Enumclaw Area Chamber of Commerce. New businesses are opening, great events are being planned, new businesses are partnering with the Chamber and new workshops are being offered.

One of the newest businesses partnering with the Enumclaw Chamber is Avalanche Delite (1404 First Street). Avalanche Delite offers daily specials, numerous flavors and great hours, open late nightly until 10 p.m. and to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The community is encouraged to join the Enumclaw Chamber board and Avalanche Delite staff on Wednesday, October 3, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a great ribbon cutting / community social at the site of the business. Avalanche Delite will be offering an amazing discount of buy one get one half off for that night.   

The Chamber will be bringing some great events to town. First event will be Wednesday, October 31, Cole Street will be closed from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for families and friends to come downtown and go trick-or-treating.  Plenty of treats for all and it's free!  Bring your pet, family, costumes and come trick-or-treat with us!    

It is time for the Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce to announce the 3rd Annual Enumclaw Winter Wine Walk.  Cole Street downtown Enumclaw will be closed from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 17 to accommodate the participating businesses featuring Washington wineries. Tickets include a Riedel wine glass and 10 tasting tickets. Tickets are now available online for purchase. Visit the Chamber’s website to find the participating businesses at which you can get a $5 discount code!   

Do you love Christmas? Your help in planning the Christmas Parade is needed contact the Chamber for more information. The 2012 Christmas Parade will be on the first Saturday, December 1 at 6 p.m. in downtown Enumclaw.   

At the Chamber we are starting off a new series called BMW which is twofold. We have the Business Marketing Workshop which will be the first and third Tuesdays in the morning, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., which will be covering a wide array of marketing topics. Then we have the Business Mentoring Workshop which will be the second and fourth Mondays during the mid day, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., which will include a book club on EntreLeadership by Dave Ramsey. The meetings are open to any and everyone; they are free to members and only $5 for non-members.

Hi, Susan and Lou. We do know that our events calendar has issues at the moment with incorrect timesRead More displaying, and our engineering team is at work to correct this. My best suggestion at the moment is to post a comment on an event with the correct time, if you aren't able to go in and edit an event that you previously posted. Our ownership has not changed -- we have been and continue to be a part of the AOL family. Our intent with the new design is to highlight the great content that our users create and share with the community. We know there have been some bumps with our launch and are working diligently to fix them. We hope you'll be patient with us and continue to share on Patch.

I agree the previous version was much better and I am not adjusting well to the new version at all.Read More Its definitely not a better layout. Also have had many problems with the events calendar which may not even be fixable.
