AM Brush Fire Melts Siding, Cause Unknown

An early morning fire in Enumclaw damaged a home on Friday, Aug. 2.

Around 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, Enumclaw firefighters responded to a working fire in the 1600 block of Garfield Street, according to King County Fire District #28.

Firefighters arrived quickly and found landscape shrubs on fire. The fire was in close proximity to one residential unit and melted parts of the siding. 

It took crews about 15 minutes to contain the fire. Enumclaw Police Department and Washington State Patrol also assisted with the scene.

It’s not certain what ignited the fire; the scene was turned over to the fire investigator.
