Bad Day for Mailboxes and Vehicle Prowled in Nov. 18 and Nov. 19 Blotter

Sunday, Nov. 18

Mailboxes Damaged: Police received a report at 11:19 a.m. that a locking mailbox on the 1700 block of Loraine Street was damaged and mail stolen.

Police received a report at 2:50 p.m. of a hit and run involving a mailbox on the 2700 block of McHugh Avenue. The driver was later located and parties agreed to handle the situation civilly.

Scrapping: Police responded to a report that a tan Jeep Cherokee with four men in it was seen in the area of the 2900 block of Cinkovich Street at 4:36 p.m. They told the officer they were looking for scrap metal; they were advised to stay away from private property.

Culinary Protest: Police responded to the 700 block of Watson Street at 2:07 p.m. for a report that a juvenile male was seen out in the rain and that his father had locked him out. The responding officer found that the male took off when he did not like what was being served for lunch. He returned back home and the situation was cleared.

Vehicle Prowl: Police received a report at 3:26 p.m. that property was stolen from a vehicle parked on the 300 block of Chinook Avenue sometime Saturday  night.
