Bank Catches Scam Before Money Wired and Handgun Stolen in Vehicle Prowl in August 20 Blotter

Vehicle Prowl: A hand gun was taken from a vehicle parked on Charwila Lane overnight. The theft was reported at 3:55 a.m.

Fraud Interrupted: Police received a report from a bank on the 900 block of Cole Street at 3:26 p.m. that they believed a person trying to wire money is the victim of a scam. Police confirmed it was the case; no money was wire transferred. The customer was informed of the situation.

Harassment: Police responded to a report at 5:41 p.m. that a resident on the 1900 block of Douglas Fir Drive was being harassed by a neighbor. The neighbor was advised to stop; the resident was advised to get an anti-harassment order through the court.
