Dogs Mistaken for Pit Bulls and Shoplifting in August 30 Blotter

A roundup of Enumclaw police reports from Thursday, August 30.

Animal Complaint: Police received a report at 3:14 a.m. that pit bulls were seen fighting with each other on the 1100 block of Lafromboise Street. The responding officer found three dogs in a kennel that were identified as American bull dogs. They were fighting and one was injured though King County Animal Control said the injury was not life-threatening. They were attempting to contact the owners and cite them. Neighbors were alerted later in the day that the matter was being handled by the county.

Speeders Beware: Extra patrol has been requested to monitor speeding vehicles on the 700 block of Myrtine Street between 8:15 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. and then between 3:20 p.m. and 4 p.m. due to concern for children at the bus stop during those times.

Theft: Police received a report at 2:31 p.m. that someone shoplifted a sweatshirt from a business on the 800 block of Roosevelt Avenue. They were seen leaving in a small blue pick up truck with a canopy, headed westbound on State Route 410.

Police received a report at 5:21 p.m. that a wallet was stolen from a gas station on the 1000 block of Monroe Avenue. Police were reviewing store surveillance footage.

No Permit: Police received a report at 5:57 p.m. that a person selling produce on the corner of Semanski Street at Roosevelt Avenue may not have a permit to do so. The responding officer confirmed this was the case and advised the person they needed to get a permit to continue.

Harassment: Police received a report at 6:27 p.m. that ongoing harassment problems between neighbors continue on the 700 block of Myrtine Street. The responding officer contacted all sides and advised them not to contact each other.

Traffic Arrest: Police arrested a driver for third-degree driving while license suspended following a traffic stop on Griffin Avenue at Railroad Street at 9:32 p.m.

I agree the previous version was much better and I am not adjusting well to the new version at all.Read More Its definitely not a better layout. Also have had many problems with the events calendar which may not even be fixable.

Always looking for a local nature trail, I really enjoy reading Mary Janosik's well written blog. InRead More fact, almost all the dedicated bloggers posting on the Enumclaw PATCH have something worthwhile reading. But it is not an easy job for most of us, taking some time to research and write, without any compensation. Our only reward is knowing we are being read and appreciated and the only way we know that is when you comment. In my opinion, most of the PATCH blogs are a community service, informing residents about our community and issues concerning you, our readers. So please send your favorite bloggers a thank you or a comment once in awhile to keep us motivated and feel appreciated..
