Downed Trees, Lines and Welfare Checks in Thursday and Friday Police Reports

A roundup of Enumclaw police reports from Wednesday, Jan. 18 and Thursday, Jan. 19.

Wednesday, Jan. 18

Accident: A two-car accident was reported on Griffin Avenue at Fell Street at 6:58 a.m.

Warrant Arrest: Police pursued on foot a subject who had an Enumclaw Municipal Court warrant out in the area of S.E. 424th Avenue at 244th Avenue S.E. at 11:15 a.m. and arrested them when they surrendered.

Pot Sledding: Police received a report at 2:35 p.m. that there was a vehicle in the Expo Center parking lot that was pulling people around on sleds. When an employee asked them to stop and leave, they reported smelling marijuana in the vehicle. The subjects were gone when police arrived but extra patrol was requested.

Right of Way: Police received a report at 5:52 p.m. that there were two people walking in the middle of the road on Cole Street and refusing to move for traffic. When police made contact, they agreed to stay out of the road.

Cable Down: Police received a report at 6:54 p.m. that a utility cable was on the road across the 1200 block of Porter Street. And officer moved it out of the street and contacted Comcast for repair.

Thursday, Jan. 19

Lines Down: Police had reports at 6:26 a.m. that both cable and power lines were downed by a tree in the 1700 block of Washington Avenue. Comcast and Puget Sound Energy were alerted. Police marked off the area at 6:48 a.m.

A report that lines were down on Warner Avenue at Semanski Street came in at 6:53 a.m.

Police assisted fire with traffic control after a downed live power line was reported at S.E. 468th Street at 244th Avenue S.E. at 11:16 p.m.

No SR 410: Police assisted Washington State Patrol with closing off access to State Route 410 at 284th Avenue S.E. (The road has since been opened as of Friday afternoon.)

Porch Theft: Police confirmed with a theft victim at 9:46 a.m. that an item was taken from his front porch on Cole Street.

Hit and Run: A hit and run accident was reported on Wynalda Drive at 10:36 a.m.

Arrest from Welfare Check: Police conducted a check on a home at Watson Street at 4:31 p.m. and located an unwanted warrant subject at the apartment. All was fine at the home and that person was arrested.

Home Fire: Police assisted fire with a house fire on Marion Street at 6:46 p.m.

Road Rage: Police intervened in a road rage incident on Roosevelt Avenue at Myrtine Street at 8:02 p.m. involving a green Jeep that was reportedly driving recklessly. All parties were settled.

Carbon Monoxide: Police assisted fire with a report of carbon monoxide poisoning at a home on Chinook Avenue at 10:29 p.m. The family of three was treated at St. Elizabeth and taken to Virginia Mason in Seattle for recovery.

Fallen Trees: A tree was reportedly down on the 1900 block of Kibler Avenue at 11:56 p.m. and had hit two vehicles. The roadway was closed on both sides of the tree and city shops was notified to remove.
