Update: Enumclaw Man Arrested, Charged with Rape

The 39-year-old man was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into probable cause that began after detectives received information from Child Protective Services about inappropriate contact that occurred seven years ago.

A 39-year-old man who was arrested in Enumclaw Tuesday on suspicion of having inappropriate contact with a female juvenile seven years ago, has today been charged with first-degree rape of a child, according to an updated Enumclaw police press release.

Detectives were alerted by Child Protective Services (CPS) earlier this year to the inappropriate contact between Malcolm J. Fraser and the minor which reportedly occurred while he lived with the girl's family. Their investigation provided probable cause for Fraser's arrest on Tuesday.

Fraser is being held without bail pending an appearance in front of the District court judge.
