Enumclaw Police: Arrests Made in Hit and Run Plus Responses to Suspicious Activity, Vehicle Vandalized and Teen Warned on Bad Behavior

The following information for April 1 and April 2 was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, April 1

Vehicle Prowl: A Buck Classic hunting knife was reported stolen at 7:17 a.m. out of an unlocked vehicle on the 3400 block of Wynalda Drive.

Domestic Disturbance: Police responded to a residence on the 400 block of Dickson Avenue at 3:04 p.m. regarding an argument a 13-year-old was having with her mother and damage to a wall stemming from that. The matter was settled but the teen was warned what would happen if the behavior continued.

Disturbance: Police responded to the 2200 block of Kibler Avenue at 8:30 p.m. for a report of some kind of confrontation between three people. The matter was settled.

Suspicious Activity: Police responded to the 2800 block of Christianson Avenue at 9:33 p.m. for a report there was a van that appeared to be stopping and looking into mailboxes in the area. The officer found the driver was in violation of third-degree driving while license suspended and made an arrest.

Tuesday, April 2

Hit and Run: Police responded to Porter Street at Griffin Avenue at 6:12 a.m. for a hit and run that had just occurred and located the suspects. One person was taken into custody and booked for making false statements. Two more suspects were to be cited for hit and run along with other charges.

Property Damage: Police received a report at 10:52 a.m. that someone struck a vehicle parked on the 1400 block of Division Street with a pipe, damaging the hood and headlight.

Suspicious Activity: Police arrested a subject on the 1800 block of Harding Street at 6:21 p.m. after initially stopping them for not wearing a bike helmet while on a bike. They were arrested for making false statement and resisting arrest and also had several outstanding warrants.
