Enumclaw Police: Garrett Street Business Burglarized, Thief Steals Alcohol from Store and Resident Suspicious of Solicitors

The following information from April 9 and April 10 plus April 15 was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, April 9

Shoplifting: Police responded to a business on the 100 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 2:25 a.m. for a report someone took three bottles of alcohol without paying. He reportedly left the business on foot.

Theft: Police responded to the 700 block of Myrtine Street at 10:08 p.m. for a report a taxi customer didn't pay his fare.

Wednesday, April 10

Burglary: Police responded to the 1800 block of Garrett Street at 7:30 a.m. for a report of a commercial burglary that occurred overnight.

Property Damage: Police received a report at 7:54 a.m. that the tailgate to a vehicle on the 43100 block of 260th Avenue S.E. was damaged.

A wall on the 2400 block of Cole Street had reportedly been spray-painted in two spots; the graffiti was reported at 10:46 a.m.

A picket fence on the 1100 block of Lafromboise Street was reported damaged at 3:16 p.m.

Drugs: A juvenile was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after police responded to the 500 block of Semanski Street at 12:30 p.m.

Monday, April 15

Theft: Police responded to a residence on the 2900 block of Porter Street at 12:52 p.m. for a report that known suspects who were staying at the residence suddenly left after stealing property. It was unclear what was stolen. The suspect vehicle was described as an older faded red Toyota pick up truck with a blue tarp in the truck bed. It was last seen going northbound on State Route 169.

Suspicious Activity: Police received a report at 5:18 p.m. from a resident on the 42600 block of 268th Avenue S.E. that suspects might be casing her home and nearby after they came to her house and asked to clean her carpets. Some minor damage to her screen window was found before they left.
