Enumclaw Police: Home Burglary, Cab Driver Stiffed, and Blonde Drives Off in Stolen Vehicle

The following information from Aug. 22 to Aug. 25 was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aug. 22, 2013

Suspected Prowler: A citizen reported at 1:22 a.m. a suspicious person was looking into vehicles on Lafromboise Street at Griffin Avenue with a flashlight and jiggling handles. They had left when police arrived.

Suspected Prowlers: A citizen reported at 6:06 p.m. that three juveniles were in the back yard of a vacant resident on the 600 block of Myrtine Street. They were told to leave or would be charged with trespassing.

Aug. 24, 2013

Property Damage: Tires on a vehicle parked on the 700 block of Victor Street were reported damaged at 12:51 p.m.

Property Damage/Missing: A citizen reported coming home to the 2000 block of Nielson Avenue at 1:38 p.m and finding several items missing. 

Suspicious Person: A citizen reported a white Ford pick up truck was dumped near his residence on the 42700 block of 268th Avenue S.E. at about 8 p.m., and police found its plates showed it was stolen out of Sumner. Prior to officers' arrival, however, the vehicle was driven off by a white female, about 30, dishwater blonde hair, 5 feet 6 inches tall about 130 pounds.

Aug. 25, 2013

Property Damage: Two signs were reported damaged at 12:30 a.m. on the 800 block of Griffin Avenue.

Assisting Buckley PD: Officers assisted with a pursuit that ended in Buckley at about 7:45 a.m. with the arrest of a wanted fugitive. Officers also assisted with pick up of evidence that was discarded from a vehicle in the area on Railroad Street between Stevenson and Initial Avenue. 

Ride and Dash: A taxi driver reported at 2:20 p.m. a subject failed to pay for a tab of $14 and left the area of 2900 block of Porter Street.

Residential Burglary: Police took a report of a burglary of a home on the 2300 block of Sunset Avenue sometime in the previous week where several rings and a camera were stolen.
