Enumclaw Police: Man Drives Golf Cart into Creek, Arrested for DUI
The following information from May 8 through May 12 was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Wednesday, May 8
Trespassing: A thief reportedly stole about 20 packs of cigarettes from a business on Monroe Avenue at 2:32 a.m.
Trespassing: A subject was trespassed from QFC around 3:48 a.m.
Burglary: Sometime overnight, a thief burglarized a garage on Warner Avenue. A bike that was stolen from the garage was recovered later that day.
Malicious Mischief: Police responded a malicious mischief call on Natalie Place around 8:55 p.m.
Burglary: Officers responded to a reported burglary in progress around 11:30 a.m. on Roosevelt Avenue. Upon arrival, officers determined that the subjects had permission to be there and were having problems with the key.
Theft: Police received a report regarding a car prowl that occurred over the weekend on Stevenson Avenue. The victim wanted the police to be aware of the incident.
Theft: Police responded to a theft report at a home on Semanski Street. The reporting party believed that her caregiver was stealing from her. No evidence of theft found.
Traffic Stop: Around 3:10 p.m., police arrested a driver on Wells Street for driving with license suspended in the third-degree.
Assault: Around 3:50 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault on Watson Street North. No visible marks or signs of trauma found.
Found Property: Two debit cards were found along State Route 410 around 4 p.m. Police contacted the bank to have them notify the owner.
Animal Complaint: Around 4:20 p.m., police responded to an anonymous barking dog complaint on Myrtine Street. The resident, who ran a dog-sitting service at the home, was advised of the noise complaint. She said she would move the dogs back inside.
Traffic Stop: Around 9:10 p.m., police arrested a driver for reckless driving on Roosevelt Avenue.
Attempt to Locate: Around 9:40 p.m., two Enumclaw inmates were located on Wells Street after they left the Enumclaw Police Department during inmate building maintenance.
Thursday, May 9
Vehicle Prowl: Police responded to a vehicle prowl that occurred overnight on Griffin Avenue.
Malicious Mischief: Police responded a malicious mischief to a vehicle parked near Battersby Avenue and Porter Street around 5:30 p.m. The passenger window had been taken out, but nothing was stolen.
Vehicle Prowl: An unknown subject broke into a car parked near Battersby Avenue and Porter Street and stole radar and a phone charger.
Friday, May 10
Malicious Mischief: An unknown subject drove off the road and hit a post with 5 mailboxes on Wallace Avenue.
Disturbance: Around 6 p.m., police responded to a report of a man yelling obscenities and threats at customers at a business on Roosevelt Avenue. Police arrested the man for disorderly conduct.
Saturday, May 11
DUI: Police arrested a man for DUI after he drove a golf cart into a creek on 288th Avenue Southeast.
Traffic Stop: Police cited a driver for DWLS on Griffin Avenue.
Suspicious Person: Police received a report from a man who believed his neighbor might be holding women against their will in his shed on Willow Drive. One woman was listed as a missing subject but has returned home. Officers checked the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.
Sunday, May 12
Traffic Stop: Police made a traffic stop on Osceola Street and arrested the driver and passenger for outstanding out-of-state felony warrants.
