Enumclaw Police: Scrap Metal Stolen, Suspicious Box Reported and Multiple Vehicle Thefts
The following information from Sept. 6 to Sept. 8 was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Sept. 6, 2013
Theft: A witness on the 800 block of Griffin Avenue reported at 3:02 p.m. seeing an older male subject filling a dark green Chevy pick up truck with scrap metal from the property and leaving in westbound on Griffin.
Open Containers Confiscated: Police responded to a parking lot on the 300 block of Griffin Avenue at 6:30 p.m. for a report several juveniles associated with a black Volvo and red Honda Element were seen drinking on the premises. They had left before officers arrived but a traffic stop was conducted and open containers were confiscated. They were released with a warning as officers confirmed no DUI.
Disturbance: Police responded to a hotel on the 1100 block of Griffin Avenue at 7:12 p.m. for a report of a fight between two females. One was issued a trespass letter.
An officer responded to Griffin Avenue at Railroad Street at 7:53 p.m. for a report a man was causing a disturbance. He was warned to stay away from the business.
Officers broke up a reported argument between a group of intoxicated men on the 800 block of Griffin Avenue at 9:07 p.m. Some were given a ride home and warned to stay home for the night.
Sept. 7, 2013
Theft: One person was arrested after officers responded to the 800 block of Griffin Avenue at 9:09 a.m. for a report they were seen gathering metal.
Suspicious Box: A citizen reported a suspicious box on the sidewalk on the 100 block of Semanski Street at 10:40 a.m. It was recovered by police and destroyed.
Noise Complaint: An officer responded to the 1200 block of Lafromboise Street at 11:42 p.m. for a noise complaint from a loud party.

Vehicle Theft/Recovery: A vehicle was reported stolen from the 300 block of Chinook Avenue at 5:29 a.m. It was recovered later in the morning on Warner Avenue with the stereo missing.
Theft: Police took a report of a theft of a check from a vehicle while it was parked on the 1300 block of Pioneer Street at 10:29 a.m.
Vehicle Prowl: A vehicle prowl was reported on the 400 block of Bondgard Avenue E at 11:09 a.m.
Vehicle Theft: A vehicle was reportedly stolen from the 2700 block of Warner Avenue at 11:25 a.m.
Property Damage: Police received a report at 7:33 p.m. of malicious mischief to a parked vehicle on the 1200 block of Florence Street that occurred overnight.
Fight: Police responded to a parking lot on the 200 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 7:36 p.m. for a fight; one juvenile was cited for minor in possession before being released to a guardian.
