Enumclaw Police: Vehicle Prowler Steals Sandwich, Plus Lawnmower and iPod Found

The following information from April 11 to April 14 was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, April 11

Angry Tenant: Police responded to an apartment on the 1300 block of Battersby Avenue at 3:28 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. The tenant was asked to calm down and agreed. Police were called back at 4:35 p.m. for the same tenant. He was advised to cease.

Lost a Lawnmower? A citizen reported at 8:34 a.m. that a riding lawn mower was abandoned on the road on the 1900 block of Clovercrest Street. It was taken by City Shops for safe keeping.

Hungry Prowler: Police received a report at 3:04 p.m. that a vehicle on the 2700 block of Warner Avenue had been prowled. It was unlocked so there were no damages found. A flashlight and sandwich were stolen.

Another Prowler? A resident on the 2200 block of Lowell Place reported at 10:32 p.m. that someone was on his property near his vehicle in the driveway. Police did not find anyone in the area when they responded.

Saturday, April 13

Tired: Police conducted a welfare check in the parking lot at Safeway at 8:31 a.m. for a report of a man seen slumped over the wheel of his vehicle which had the engine running and lights on. He had fallen asleep.

Drugs and Driving: Police arrested a man for driving while license suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia after conducting a traffic stop on the 1100 block of Griffin Avenue at 8:49 a.m.

Egged: Two vehicles belongong to one owner on the 2900 block of Porter Street were reportedly egged overnight.

iPod Found: A citizen turned in an iPod found at City Hall at 7:11 p.m.

DUI: One person was arrested for DUI after a stop on the 100 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 11:51 p.m.

Sunday, April 14:

Out of Gas: Police responded to Scandia Avenue at Johnson Street at 5:09 p.m. for a report that a man was either sleeping in his vehicle or needed help. He was waiting for assistance as his vehicle was almost out of gas. Officer asked him to move to a nearby friend's house to get off the street.

Citizen Assistance: Police responded to a bar on the 1600 block of Cole Street at 8 p.m. due to concerns for a man who had just left but was under the influence of something. The responded officer determined he wasn't a danger to himself or others and gave him directions to where he was headed.
