Man Dies in Fiery Crash in Buckley

BUCKLEY – A man was killed when a car ran off the road, struck a tree and burst into flames, KING TV reported this morning.

The Washington State Patrol says the car was heading north on State Route 165 at about 2 a.m. As he was approaching a curve he ran into a power pole. The car and the pole burst into flames. 

Firefighters found the car fully engulfed in flames, and the man trapped in the car.

The road was closed for hours during the investigation.

It's not known if alcohol, drugs or speed were factors in the crash.
