Mountainview, Enumclaw Among King County Response Team at Leavenworth Wildland Fire

King County Fire Protection District No. 44 (Mountainview Fire and Rescue) was deploying personnel Tuesday night to Leavenworth as a wildland fire named Eagle Fire was burning nearby.

Three members of the South Puget Handteam were headed to Leavenworth to help with the Eagle Fire that has reached 500 acres as of Tuesday night, according to KCFD 44 on Facebook.

Similarly, Enumclaw is sending personal as well, according to the Enumclaw Firefighters L3931 Facebook page.

According to a KCFD 20 press release, multiple agencies within King County are deploying either equipment (Skyway Brush 21) or personnel (South Puget Sound handteam headquartered out of King County Fire District 44) to assist in battling the fire that has doubled in size and is now about 500 acres - 21 homes are now under level 3 (mandatory) evacuation & approximately 45 under level 2 evacuation due to fire spread down to the road in spots.
