Vehicle Prowl: Police responded at 2:14 a.m. to a report of two men prowling a vehicle in the QFC parking lot. The reporting party detained the men until police arrived; they were booked for vehicle prowl and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Trespassing Panhandler: Police responded at 5:42 a.m. to a report that a man was panhandling at a location on Monroe Street. He was served a trespass notice.
Fireworks Complaints: Police responded at 6:26 p.m. to Harmony Lane and D Court for several complaints over fireworks. Those setting them off were advised of .
Suspicious Activity: Police responded at 10:57 p.m. to McFarland Park following a report that there were teens possibly attempting to damage a porta-potty. They were asked to leave.
An officer observed what appeared to be a sparkler bomb in the area of Kibler Avenue and Division Street at 11:27 p.m. Two subjects nearby denied having anything to do with it.
Saturday, June 30
Property Damage: An officer observed graffiti on at least two buildings on Roosevelt Avenue at 2:01 a.m.
Accident Assist: Police assisted Enumclaw Fire and King County Sheriff's Office with an accident on the 23100 block of SE 452nd Street at 7:49 a.m. (See KOMO story)
Eviction Dispute: Police responded to a dispute at a property on Scandia Avenue at 9:15 a.m. in which the landlord was reportedly changing locks to the property. Upon police contact the landlord agreed to go through proper channels to start the eviction process.
Fireworks Complaints: Police received a complaint at 11:32 a.m. that what might have been an M80 went off near the 1400 block of Porter Street at least twice. The responding officer didn't hear anything.
Police received a complaint at 10:15 p.m. on the 42600 block of 268th Avenue S.E., which is in King County jurisdiction.
Police received a complaint at 11:21 p.m. on the 300 block of Chinook AVenue involving a juvenile setting off the fireworks. There was no one on scene upon police arrival.
Property Damage: A fence on the north end of the Expo Center was reported damaged by a nearby resident at 1:05 p.m. The damage was estimated at $100 but the fence was set to be replaced this week.
Stolen Vehicle Found: A citizen reported that her vehicle was stolen from a parking lot near the 1800 block of Cole Street at 1:20 p.m. It was later found in the Enumclaw Library parking lot without obvious signs of damage and/or theft.
Suspicious Activity: A resident on the 2400 block of Jensen Street reported at 4:20 p.m. that there were juveniles hanging out at a vacant residence nearby; glass could be heard breaking. The responding officer told the teens to leave and not return.
Police received a report at 10:53 p.m. that a dark sedan with several teens inside were holding flashlights and prowling around the area of the 1400 block of Mountain View Drive. They were gone upon officer arrival.
DUI: One person was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue at 11:48 p.m.
Sunday, July 1
Citizen Assist: Police located a man who had been drinking sleeping on the side of the road on Porter Street at Griffin Avenue at 1 a.m. They gave him a courtesy ride home.
Attempted Gas Theft: Police received a report at 2:09 a.m. that someone was trying to siphon gas from a hospital vehicle at St. Elizabeth. The suspect was gone upon police arrival but it appeared only about one gallon was taken, worth about 45. The gas can was given to hospital security to put back into the vehicle. The bag, siphon tools and clothese were taken to the police station for destruction.
Found Property: And officer took property found in the front door area of the library at 6:13 a.m. and placed them at the police station.
Disturbance Resolved: Police received multiple 911 calls regarding some kind of disturbance in front of Rite Aid at 1:11 p.m. The parties involved had reportedly left the area before police were dispatched.
Traffic Arrest: One person was cited and released for third degree driving while license suspended following a traffic stop on State Route 410 at 7:07 p.m.
Assault: Police received a report at 10:20 p.m. that a suspect assaulted a woman and her brother at a residence on the 1900 block of Lafromboise Street. The suspect was arrested for assault.
