Multiple Vehicle Prowls in July 12 to July 15 Blotter

Thursday, July 12

Vehicle Prowls: Police responded to a report of several vehicle prowls in the area of the 1100 block of Pioneer Street overnight. Change was taken from a truck and two vehicles had locks damaged. Extra patrol has been requested for this area due to ongoing issues with vehicle prowls.

Hit and Run: Police received a report at 9:29 a.m. that an unattended vehicle on the 1100 block of Loraine Street was struck sometime overnight.

Juveniles: Police received a request for extra patrol at the state park on Porter Street at 3:52 p.m. due to ongoing behavioral problems with juveniles on site.

Animal Complaint: Police received a complaint from a resident on the 1200 block of Davis Avenue at 4:53 p.m. regarding a neighbor's seven cats which are using their yard as a litter area. The complainant was concerned they posed a health issue and was referred to King County Animal Control.

Friday, July 13

Shoplifting: Police received a report at 5:47 a.m. that a shoplifting was in progress at a business on the 1000 block of Monroe Avenue. An employee confronted the suspect who put the items back and left the store without any stolen items on her possession. She was also trespassed from the business for a year.

Speeders Beware: Extra patrol has been requested for the area of S.E. 440th Street at Farman Street due to speeding vehicles.

Disturbance: Police responded at 8:35 p.m. to a report of three people arguing on Scandia Avenue over loose rabbits. They animals were secured and the subjects left the area.

Saturday, July 14

Vehicle Prowl: Police responded to a report at 2:50 p.m. that a vehicle in the Six Plex/Sunrise Elementary School area on the 800 block of Osceola Street was broken into by breaking a window though nothing was taken.

A vehicle prowl was reported at 7:54 p.m. on the 500 block of Farrelly Street.

Disturbance: Police settled an argument between two subjects over one party's reckless driving at 4:07 p.m. on Roosevelt Avenue.

Noise Complaint: Police received two complaints over the event at J.J. Smith, first at 12:49 p.m. and then at 9:08 p.m. In both instances, officers found the noise level was not beyond acceptable levels.

Sunday, July 15

Child Alone: A toddler was seen playing alone in front of an apartment building on the 100 block of Leo Place at 6:30 a.m. He had gotten out of the apartment on his own. The parent was contacted and the child returned home.
