Officer-involved Accident and Two Hit and Runs in March 29 through April 1 Blotter

A roundup of Enumclaw police reports from Thursday, March 29 through Sunday, April 1

Thursday, March 29

Warrant Arrest: A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant after police conducted a welfare check at a location on Roosevelt Avenue E at 7:57 a.m.

Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a location on Birch Drive at 2:54 p.m. The officer contacted all parties involved and the matter was settled.

Vehicle Prowl: Police received a report at 5:24 p.m. of a vehicle prowl that had occurred earlier on Griffin Avenue.

Disturbance: Police responded to a report of a disturbance on Bailey Street at 7:37 p.m. All parties involved were contacted and the matter was settled.

Friday, March 30

Fight Averted: Police responded to a report of a person trying to start a fight in the area of Griffin Avenue at Semanski Street at 4:55 p.m. The officer contacted all parties and the matter was settled.

Wallet Found: Police received a wallet found on Cinkovich Street at Davis Avenue at 7:31 p.m. The owner has not yet been reached and the wallet is in storage at the police station.

Doorbell Ringing: Police received a report that someone rang a doorbell at a home on Randall Place at 9:37 p.m. and left. The responding officer found nothing out of the ordinary; no person or vehicle was seen.

Fight: Police received a report of a disturbance at a business on Railroad Street at 11:04 p.m. The responding officers asked subjects involved to leave and they agreed to do so.

Noise: Police received a complaint of loud music and voices coming from the Crystal Saloon on Roosevelt Avenue at 11:44 p.m. The responding officer asked staff to turn it down; the soundproof shutters were up.

Saturday, March 31

Traffic Accident: Police responded to a report of a man who had been drinking, wearing green shorts and a dark hoodie walking eastbound on State Route 164 and weaving into traffic at 12:01 a.m. Police were unable to locate but at 12:08 a.m. an officer was involved in an accident at 244th Avenue S.E. and State Route 164. According to Lt. Bob Huebler, the officer involved was responding to a call with emergency equipment activated. The officer was treated and released at St. Elizabeth Hospital for minor injuries; there were no injuries reported with the other party involved. Washington State Patrol was investigating the accident.

Hit and Run: A hit and run was reported on Lafromboise Street at 3:43 a.m. Police were not able to gather information on the driver's identity or determine their direction of travel from the scene.

Runaway Juvenile: A runaway juvenile was reported from a residence on Jewel Street at 12:06 p.m.

Roadblock: Police received a request from Washington State Patrol to check reports of a boulder in the way on State Route 410 at milepost 29 at 1:52 p.m. The responding officer found the boulder and moved it out of the way.

Shoplifting: One person was arrested for shoplifting from QFC at 2:01 p.m.

Sunday, April 1

Noise: Police received a noise complaint of excessive bass sound at the Crystal Saloon at 12:06 a.m. The soundproof shutters were in place but the responding officer determined some songs were too loud; the staff was asked to turn it down.

Hit and Run: Police received a report of a hit and run accident in front of a residence on Harmony Lane at 12:28 a.m. The dark colored vehicle involved was seen with front end damage leaving the area; it remained unclear at the time what was hit though a loud crash was heard. At 10:49 a.m., police received a report from a resident on Harmony Lane that a tree in his yard was hit by a vehicle overnight; there was no damage to the tree but parts of the vehicle involved were still at the scene. The resident brought the pieces in to police.

Warrant Arrest: A man was taken into custody at 12:37 a.m. following a traffic stop on Semanski Street at Roosevelt Avenue for two warrants from Buckley and Orting.

Disorderly Conduct: A resident on Griffin Avenue reported at 2:18 p.m. that a neighbor was causing a disturbance, yelling and hanging out the window. The responding officer ensured the situation was resolved.

Theft: Money was reportedly stolen from a property on Jensen Street at 6:08 p.m.

Hi, Susan and Lou. We do know that our events calendar has issues at the moment with incorrect timesRead More displaying, and our engineering team is at work to correct this. My best suggestion at the moment is to post a comment on an event with the correct time, if you aren't able to go in and edit an event that you previously posted. Our ownership has not changed -- we have been and continue to be a part of the AOL family. Our intent with the new design is to highlight the great content that our users create and share with the community. We know there have been some bumps with our launch and are working diligently to fix them. We hope you'll be patient with us and continue to share on Patch.

I agree the previous version was much better and I am not adjusting well to the new version at all.Read More Its definitely not a better layout. Also have had many problems with the events calendar which may not even be fixable.

Always looking for a local nature trail, I really enjoy reading Mary Janosik's well written blog. InRead More fact, almost all the dedicated bloggers posting on the Enumclaw PATCH have something worthwhile reading. But it is not an easy job for most of us, taking some time to research and write, without any compensation. Our only reward is knowing we are being read and appreciated and the only way we know that is when you comment. In my opinion, most of the PATCH blogs are a community service, informing residents about our community and issues concerning you, our readers. So please send your favorite bloggers a thank you or a comment once in awhile to keep us motivated and feel appreciated..
