Former Buckley Councilman Randy Reed will serve one year in jail after pleading guilty in September to first-degree child rape and indecent liberties.

His full sentence, which was given on Thursday, was actually 10 years, 11 months, according to The News Tribune. However, because he was a first-time offender, he qualified for an alternative sentencing.

The Courier-Herald reports Reed was initially charged in September 2011. In June of this year, his son Travis Reed was charged with attempting to bribe a witness in his father's case.
