A roundup of police reports from Friday, April 8 through Sunday, April 10.

Friday, April 8

Cable Down: A utility line reportedly came down across the sidewalk on Wells Street. Police contacted Comcast at 11:42 a.m. for repair.

Suspicious Activity: A man in a silver Jeep was seen taking packages from a U.S. Postal Service truck parked on Franklin Street at 12:02 p.m. When police responded, the Jeep was gone but the mail carrier was still in the area. The suspect vehicle and man were not located.

Good Samaritan: A disoriented 70-year-old man was found wandering on Roosevelt Avenue at Watson Street at 12:21 p.m. A good samaritan took him to Enumclaw police where the caregiver was contacted to come pick up him.

Domestic Dispute: An incident was reported at a property on May Court at 8:54 p.m. Police contacted all parties and found four people were trespassing. The matter was settled.

Harassment: A property on Roosevelt Avenue was reportedly receiving several harassing phone calls from a private number. Police responded at 9:32 p.m. though it was unknown who the caller was. Police conducted extra patrol and contacted the manager to advise of the issue.

Saturday, April 9

Loud Arm Wrestling: A resident on Roosevelt Avenue reported at 12:56 a.m. that people were yelling and screaming at a nearby property. Officers found it was two men in an arm wrestling match. They agreed to tone it down.

More Noise: A loud party was reported at a residence on Semanski Street at 1:41 a.m. with lots of people outside. Police responded and asked them to keep it down. Everyone subsequently went inside.

Police received a loud music complaint at 7:19 p.m. for a property on Warner Avenue. Upon follow up, they did not hear or see any indication of a noise problem.

Police received a loud bass complaint coming from Crystal Saloon at 11:23 p.m. The responding officer found that the soundproof shutters were closed and did not detect a loud bass in the area at the time. At 11:52 p.m., the bass was reportedly turned up -- police made contact and asked them to turn it down.

Unwanted Person: An unwanted customer was reported at a business on Garrett Street at 9;35 a.m. Police made contact with both parties; the suspect was advised to cease and desist.

Voluntary Commitment: A suicidal man was reported in the area of Cole Street at 10:28 a.m. Aid was summoned and he will be treated at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Lawn Mower Dispute: A woman reported that while driving on State Route 410 at Warner Avenue at 12:36 p.m., a rock that was kicked up from a lawn mower hit her windshield. A male subject with the lawn mower denied this. Both were advised to contact their insurance companies.

Police Assist: An officer provided a courtesy transport home for a man, about 50 years old, who appeared to be intoxicated and falling in the area of Roosevelt Avenue at McKinley Street at 4:23 p.m. He had not been drinking.

Police assisted in resolving a disturbance at St. Elizabeth Hospital at 7:11 p.m. involving an out-of-control patient on the third floor. The matter was settled on contact.

Threats: Police received a report of juveniles who came into contact with other juveniles on bikes on Warner Avenue at 6:38 p.m. who threatened to return with a knife and gun. Upon follow up, there were no signs of the juveniles involved or any weapons.

No Child Seat: Police attempted to locate a black, Ford F150 leaving the Safeway parking lot at 10:01 p.m. with a small child about 2 years old in it but without a child seat. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.

Sunday, April 10

Mailbox Removed: A mailbox was found in the middle of Semanski Street at 1:01 a.m. that actually belonged to a property on S.E. 464th Street. The officer checking that location found that it belonged on top of a metal post -- there was no damage to the post or to the mailbox; one piece of junk mail was found inside the box. The Sheriff's Office was contacted but they had no reports of a mailbox theft. The owner picked up the mailbox at 3:31 p.m.

Possible Prowler: A resident on Semanski Street reported at 3:15 a.m. hearing someone trying to open the slider door but did not see anyone. Officers responded and found the door secure with no sign of attempted entry.

Traffic Accident: A one-car accident was reported on Griffin Avenue at LaFramboise Street at 3:51 a.m. The vehicle was moved to the side of the road and a parent was to pick up the vehicle with a flatbed by 5:30 a.m. As of 5:35 a.m. the vehicle had not moved and was not legally parked. Police were unable to locate the vehicle occupants/owners and it was impounded to Cascade. The driver was to be cited through the mail.

Racing Manure Trucks: A citizen reported two dump trucks that were hauling manure and racing on S.E. 448th Street at Roosevelt Avenue on both sides of 244th Avenue S.E. at 1:03 p.m. One truck stopped on Roosevelt and Loraine Street and the driver was advised of the complaint and to also slow down.

Dumpster Diving: An officer contacted two people at 6:56 p.m. following a complaint from an employee at a business on Garrett Street that they were seen dumpster diving behind the store.The officer asked them to stay out of the dumpster and they agreed.

Vehicle Prowl: Two white male teens were seen leaving in a blue minivan following a report of a vehicle prowl on Sun Mountain Drive at 7:32 p.m. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate. There was no damage to the victim's vehicle and nothing was taken.

DUI: One person was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on State Route 410 at Semanski Street at 8:56 p.m. The passenger and vehicle were released to a sober driver.

One person was arrested and booked for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on State Route 410 and 244th Avenue S.E. at 10:57 p.m.Β 

Neighbors on Alert: A citizen reported seeing a light turn on inside the garage area of Roosevelt Automotive on Roosevelt Avenue at 11 p.m. Officers responded and found the light was no longer on; all doors were secure.

Driving while License Suspended: A driver was arrested following a traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue at 11:33 p.m. and booked for third-degree driving while license suspected and possession of drug paraphernalia. A dog in the car was released to the passenger.
