Police Blotter for Aug. 21-22

Expo Center, school used to help in Grass Mountain fire.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Help with fire: Department of Natural Resources asks to use Expo Center in Enumclaw as a base camp for a fire on Grass Mountain. Helicopter lands there. Forty low-security inmates set up camp behind Enumclaw Middle School to help with blaze. DNR also says it didn't use high school because fall sports started practicing Monday. Mayor, city manager and police chief advised.

Egg prowlers: Possible vehicle prowl in progress on Loraine St. Two men seen looking into parked vehicles. Officer found abandoned carton of eggs. Subjects may have been involved in malicious mischief.

Stray dog at dog show: Officer doing dog show security told of a stray that wandered onto grounds. Has tags but unable to confirm owner because facility is closed. Dog brought to EPD, pending locating owner. King County Animal Control picked up dog Monday.

Motorcycle tampering: Reporting party interrupted someone tampering with motorcycle parked in driveway on Pine Drive. Suspect left in small, dark sedan with spoiler and loud muffler. Last seen on Mountain Villa Drive.  No damage to motorcycle and nothing missing.
