Wednesday, Jan. 25

Wires/Tree Down: A tree and power lines were reportedly down across the roadway on the 43400 block of 244th Avenue S.E. at 3:19 a.m. Puget Sound Energy de-energized the lines but the tree couldn't be moved without proper equipment. King County Roads assisted with removing the tree and the low hanging wires were temporarily propped up. Other wires were moved off the roadway. PSE said they'd return for repairs - barriers were set up.

Rock Thru Window: Police received a report of malicious mischief to a vehicle parked on Watson Street at 8:23 a.m. A rock was thrown through the back window of the vehicle.

Slashed Tires: Police received a report of slashed tires to a vehicle parked on Bangert Place at 11:31 a.m. It was possible the suspect was known to the victim.

Stolen Skateboard: A teen reported that her skateboard was stolen from the library at 5:20 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 26

Shoplifting: Police responded to a report of shoplifting at a business on Cole Street at 12:41 p.m. A person who accompanied the suspect paid for the item that was taken.

About $600 worth of groceries was stolen from a business on Roosevelt Avenue at 8:39 p.m. The suspect was seen fleeing with an unidentified male in a dark Toyota Camry. Employees were able to recover the groceries.
