Police Blotter for June 10 to June 12

The following arrest information was supplied by the Enumclaw police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, June 10

Domestic Dispute: Police received a report of a woman breaking property at a location on Pine Cone Avenue at 2:04 p.m. She was gone when police arrived and the complainant did not want to pursue the matter.

Bike Stolen: Police received a report at 4:11 p.m. that a grey and yellow mountain bike was taken from a property on Marshal Avenue.

Unwanted Person: A man was reportedly at a business on Roosevelt Avenue at 5 p.m. and tried to take some items. He was gone when police arrived. They advised the employee to contact police if he returned so that a trespass letter could be served. The letter was later served at 5:34 p.m. when contact was made.

Theft: Several plants were reportedly stolen from a home on Gossard Street at 7:12 p.m.

Minor in Possession: A male driver was in custody for minor in possession after a traffic stop on State Route 410 at Warner Avenue at 11:39 p.m. He was later released upon making bail.

Saturday, June 11

Noise: Police received a report of a dog barking incessantly behind a house on Initial Avenue at 2:23 a.m. It was reported to be an ongoing problem but police heard nothing upon arrival.

Police received a complaint of a loud basketball game going on in the backyard of a residence on Initial Avenue at 9:38 p.m. An officer contacted the homeowner and asked that they keep it down.

Disturbance: A neighbor reported a disturbance at an adjacent apartment building on Cole Street at 3:14 a.m. with people screaming and a lot of activity going in and out of the building. Police found it was a verbal dispute; a warning was given to quiet down.

Domestic Dispute: A verbal dispute was reported at a residence on Battersby Avenue at 4:17 a.m. between a man and woman. Police confirmed it was verbal only.

Police received a third-party report of a domestic dispute in progress at a residence on Cole Street. Police confirmed it was verbal only.

Bike Stolen: Police took a report at 8:15 a.m. of a bike being stolen from a property on Loraine Street.

Malicious Mischief: Police received a report of windows being broken out of a vehicle parked on Olson Place at 8:57 a.m.

Swerving Bicyclist: Police received a report of a bicyclist who may have been drinking, having fallen into a ditch near S.E. 424th Street at 244th Avenue S.E. at 7:33 p.m. but had gotten back up and was swerving in the roadway. Officers made contact and found he was on his way home; he would walk the bike the rest of the way.

Cow on Road: Police received a call that a cow was in the roadway on S.E. 456th Way at 9:43 p.m. Though this was Sheriff's Office jurisdiction, the complainant reported the owner had arrived to retrieve the cow.

Sunday, June 12

Disturbance: Police received two complaints related to downtown bars. One caller reported a rowdy group of people outside a business on Cole Street at 12:21 a.m. An area check of downtown bars at the time turned up nothing wrong. A second caller later reported a man trying to sell prescription drugs. Police were unable to locate.

A fight was reported in a parking lot on Railroad Street at 1:44 a.m. Police made contact with two people but the rest had already left; the matter was settled.

Prowler: A resident on Chelsea Lane reported a prowler on her property at 2:35 a.m. The suspect was in black clothing and seen trying to climb over the back fence. The resident's dog began barking and the suspect dropped back over the fence onto the sidewalk. Police checked the neighborhood and didn't turn up anyone. However subjects were located on Warner Avenue and a court order was served.

Commercial Burglary: A citizen reported seeing two people walking away from a commercial building on Garrett Street at 5:11 a.m. when he arrived for work. He also reported the dumpsters had been moved and there were footprints all over the roof. No damages were reported and extra patrols have been requested.

DUI: A man was arrested for DUI after police received reports of his reckless driving, leaving tire marks along Initial and Railroad and then going through a stop sign at Stevenson, at 6:13 p.m. Police stopped the vehicle at State Route 410 and Semanski.

Invalid License Plate: Police stopped a driver on State Route 410 at Semanski Street at 11:43 p.m. and confiscated the license plate -- the license had been cancelled by the Department of Licensing. 

Driving While License Suspended: A driver was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on Mountain View Drive at Farman Street North at 11:29 p.m. 

Domestic Dispute: Police received a report of a physical domestic dispute at an apartment on McKean Court at 11:38 p.m.; the complainant saw a man and woman fighting through the apartment window. The man had left in a Ford Bronco prior to police arrival; the woman told police the dispute was verbal only.
