Police Blotter for June 16

The following arrest information was supplied by the Enumclaw police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Neighbors on Alert: Police received a report that the front door to an apartment on Watson Street North was wide open at 12:33 a.m. Officers responded and checked the interior, finding nothing out of place. They closed the door and asked the neighbor to let the resident know if anything appears out of place, to contact police.

Elder Assist: A citizen reported an elderly female walking in the area of Griffin  Avenue and Porter without any shoes at 5:55 a.m. The citizen took the woman to the hospital as police responded and contacted a family member to pick her up.

Animal Complaint: A resident on Bongard Avenue East reported at 9 a.m. that a neighbor was letting her dogs roam freely in the area and that it was an ongoing problem. Police reached the owner, who told them the dogs are on shock collars to keep them contained. The matter was settled.

Gas Leak: Police responded with Fire District No. 28 to a report of a gas or chemical odor at Hardin Street and Griffin Avenue at 8:58 p.m. The odor was found to be caused by natural gas and the scene was turned over to the city public works department.
