Police blotter for June 20

Stump, golf clubs lead to problems

The following arrest information was supplied by the Enumclaw police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Drinker stumped: Police responded after an intoxicated man fell on a stump and hurt his leg at the Greenwater Campground. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital. Later, police responded to the hospital after the man was uncooperative with staff. He was given a warning to calm down.

Golf club hazard: Police responded after a report of up to six intoxicated people on State Route 410 with golf clubs, creating a traffic hazard. A cab was called to take them home.

Odd smell: Police responded after an odd smell was reported in the alley in back of a restaurant on Griffin Avenue. The caller said someone was huffing paint. Police responded but there was no smell.

Shoplifting couple: Police responded to a business on Roosevelt Avenue after a witness said a man and woman walked out with two carts of unbagged groceries without paying.

Checking account: Police took a report of a theft on Martin Way that $1,000 was taken from a bank checking account.

Vehicle prowl: Police responded to the report of a $200 IPOD and a purse being stolen from a car on Roosevelt Avenue.
