Monday, March 14

Traffic Accident: A car versus pedestrian accident was reported at 6:08 a.m. on State Route 410 and Mount Villa Drive. Injuries were reported.

A two-car motor vehicle accident was reported at 12:47 p.m. on Railroad Street at Washington Avenue. No injuries were reported but leaking transmission fluid required clean-up.

Police received information about a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot of a business on Roosevelt Avenue on February 10.

A two-car, non-injury accident was reported at 5:45 p.m. on Semanski Street at Griffin Avenue.

Phone Harassment: A man reported at 8:13 a.m. that he received four cell phone calls where the caller threatened to shoot him. He does not know the caller, who had an unknown accent.

Walking Accident: A woman reportedly walked into the side of a pick-up truck at 10:35 a.m. while the driver was parked at the pump station on Monroe Avenue getting diesel. She cut her forehead and claimed the other party was responsible. Police did not receive a report from the woman though the man did document the incident.

Civil Dispute: A man reportedly walked into a business on Garrett Street at 11:34 a.m. and contacted an employee who he thinks ows him money. The responding officer advised the man he could make purchases but cannot enter the business to harass the employee. He was instructed to pursue the matter through civil court.

Unwanted Person: A man who is the subject of a court order was reportedly at a residence on May Court at 1:13 p.m. He fled out the back door as police arrived.Β 

Man Needing Aid: A man was seeing walking eastbound on Jensen Street at 4:27 p.m. requesting a bed. He appeared to be disoriented and his feet were wrapped in bandages. Officers did not find him.

Cat Taken: A man reported he thought his neighbor on Victor Street took his cat at 6:34 p.m. as it was seen in her residence. She said she fed some neighborhood cats but doesn't let them into her home. The officer advised the man the next time he saw the cat at her residents to call police and they would take it back to the owner.

Breaking In: An employee at a facility on Cole Street reported at 10:28 p.m. that a window was open with the screen missing, and muddy footprints were inside. All residents were accounted for and officers found no entry or exit points. The building was cleared.

Vehicle Prowl: A vehicle parked on Chinook Avenue was reported prowled at 10:50 p.m. Officers contacted the owner who reported items were taken.

Another vehicle on Chinook Avenue appeared to have been prowled at 11 p.m., but the owner said nothing was missing.

Another vehicle on Cinkovich Street was reported prowled at 11:01 p.m. Again, the owner reported nothing was missing.

Trespassing: Two men and a woman were arrested for criminal trespass and possession of paraphernalia and marijuana on Roosevelt Avenue at 11:21 p.m.

Tuesday, March 15

DUI: A man was arrested for DUI at 12:36 a.m. after he came into the police station to check on an inmate but was refused visitation and became irate. After slamming doors and pounding on windows on exit, he was arrested.

Driving with Suspended License: A man was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended and for failing to cooperate with an officer on Loraine Street at Griffin Avenue at 5:09 a.m.
