Police Blotter for March 28
Lots of noise complaints Monday, along with shoplifting, a vehicle prowl and a car vs. pole accident.
Noisy Neighbors: A citizen complained of loud music and people yelling at a property on Myrtine Street at 12:51 a.m. Police responded and they agreed to keep it down.
A tenant at a complex on Dickson Avenue reported loud music coming from a nearby apartment at 3:29 p.m. They agreed to turn it down. At 4:09 p.m., the reporting party contacted police again that the resident was now yelling obscenities inside his apartment and he feels it is directed at him -- he also has children and was offended by the behavior. Police made contact and the issue was resolved.
Police received a complaint of engines being revved at a residence on McKinley Street at 10:12 p.m. Officers made contact and the resident who had been working on some gardening tools agreed to call it a night.

A resident reported a barking dog at a residence at the corner of Highpoint Street and Silver Springs at 10:32 p.m. Officers contacted the owner who brought the dog in for the night.
A resident complained that her neighbor who had been drinking was causing a disturbance in an apartment complex on Myrtine Street at 10:35 p.m. He was reportedly yelling and screaming and moving a dumpster into the middle of a walkway. Officers made contact and advised him to stay in for the night.

Police received a report of loud banging and yelling in an apartment on Myrtine Street at 11:33 p.m. They heard no unusual noises upon arrival.
Shoplifting: Two males were seen taking items from a business on Griffin Avenue at 3:01 a.m. They were gone from the scene when police arrived.Β
Vehicle Prowl: Police received a report of a vehicle prowl on Battersby Avenue at 5:04 a.m. The owner reported nothing was taken and there was no damage though the vehicle was unlocked.
Jewelry Theft: Police received a report of jewelry being taken from a residence on McHugh Avenue at 9:59 a.m. A suspect was identified but they denied the theft, referring instead to two other women who were at the residence.
Neighbors on Alert: Police received a report of a recklessly driven white van in the area of Roosevelt Avenue at 5:56 p.m. It was seen speeding on back roads and acting suspiciously. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate.
Accident: A car versus pole non-injury accident was reported on Cole Street at 6:14 p.m.
