Police Blotter for May 25 and May 26

The following arrest information was supplied by the Enumclaw police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, May 25

Suspicious Circumstances: Police received a report of someone kicking at the door of a business on Railroad Street at 12:05 a.m. They were wearing a white t-shirt. The suspect was gone when police arrived; footprints were found on the door but no entry was made. The business owner confirmed all doors were secure and nothing was stolen.

Malicious Mischief: A new resident on LaFromboise Street reported at 9:09 a.m. that over the past two weeks, several suspicious events occurred in the overnight hours. The exterior of the residence was egged, the garbage can was dumped, a flower pot was moved from the walkway to the hood of a neighbor's car, and hanging baskets were moved.Β

Prescription Forgery: A woman was arrested and booked under suspicion of prescription forgery from a business on Griffin Avenue at 2:33 p.m.

Assisting Sheriff's Office: Police assisted King County Sheriff's deputies at a location on S.E. Mud Mountain Road at 8:41 p.m. for a subject who might have needed aid. They agreed to calm down and contact a family member if they needed assistance instead of calling 911.

Thursday, May 26

Drug Offense: Police arrested a passenger following a traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue at Farman Street at 1:35 a.m. for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver was released. However, a purse was found inside the vehicle belonging to a missing person -- the driver indicated that person was sleeping in an area under his parents' home in Bonney Lake. Bonney Lake police found the missing person at the residence and drove her home. The purse was brought to Enumclaw police for safekeeping; it was picked up by a parent later on Thursday.

Suspicious Circumstances: Police received a report of a driver in a silver Honda CRV snapping a photo of a residence on Ward Court at 1:18 p.m. and then driving away. Police checked the vehicle's plates and found it was valid.Β 

Driving While License Suspended: One person was booked for third-degree driving while license suspended and failure to have an interlock device following a traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue at 3:40 p.m. They were released on bail.

Accident: A two-car accident with injuries was reported at 5:48 p.m. on Porter Street at Griffin Avenue.

Phone Found: A citizen turned in a Nokia cell phone found on the roadway on 196th Avenue S.E. at S.E. 416th Street. It is with Enumclaw police for safekeeping.

DUI: A woman was arrested for driving under the influence and reckless endangerment following a traffic stop on Griffin Avenue at 7:57 p.m.Β 

Accident Assist: Police and Enumclaw fire assisted Sheriff's deputies at the scene of a motor vehicle accident for traffic control on S.E. 436th Street at 9:53 p.m.
