Police Blotter for May 27 to May 30

The following arrest information was supplied by the Enumclaw police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, May 27

Vehicle Theft: A vehicle theft was reported on Railroad Street at 5:19 p.m.

Domestic Dispute: An incident was reported at a property on Pioneer Street at 6:41 p.m. The suspect was reportedly drunk and threw a pot of hot water at the reporting party while attempting to prevent them from calling 911. The reporting party was waiting for police at Lincoln and Semanski. Police contacted the suspect and they were arrested for reckless endangerment and interfering with 911 reporting.

Homicide: A at a residence on the 1700 block of Washington Avenue was reported at 7:31 p.m.

Saturday, May 28

Disturbance: Police responded to a disturbance between two neighbors on Griffin Avenue at 1:14 a.m. They were admonished about the noise and disrupting neighbors.

Burglary: A resident on Initial Place reported at 7:35 a.m. the theft of items including money orders from her purse sometime during the night. The back sliding door may have been the entry point.

A burglary believed to have occurred sometime in the last two days was reported at 5:32 p.m. on a property on S.E. 448th Street. The window into the basement was broken out and tools were moved but left alongside the house. There were 13 gallons of Parker paint worth $200 and a carrier heat pump worth $1,500 missing.

Vehicle Prowl: Theft of several items including a computer, backpack, snare drum and accessories were taken from a vehicle parked on Initial Avenue. The theft was reported at 1:11 p.m. The entry point was the rear window.

Noise: Police received at least two complaints of loud music coming from an event at the Expo Center at 9:59 p.m. and then at 10:59 p.m. Doors were closed in an attempt to reduce the noise. Site security was also alerted and said they'd turn it down.

Traffic Assist: Police assisted with traffic control following a motorcycle accident on State Route 164 at 236th Avenue S.E. at 11:21 p.m. The scene was handled by State Patrol; a patient was transported to Harborview for injuries.

Assault/Domestic Violence: A woman was arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence A and interfering with reporting at a residence on Harding Street at 11:59 p.m. A juvenile involved was released to a family member.

Sunday, May 29

Animal Complaint: Police received a complaint of a rotweiller allowed to roam loose and enter into neighbors' yards on Bondgard Avenue East at 12:12 a.m. Officers were unable to contact the dog owner but will attempt again to advise them of the leash law.

DUI: The driver was arrested for DUI and booked for that as well as third-degree driving while license suspended following a traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue East at 1:21 a.m. A passenger was released at the scene.

A disorderly driver was reported at a business on Roosevelt Avenue East at 11:37 p.m.  They were seen driving recklessly through the parking lot, almost hitting a building. An officer stopped the vehicle at Griffin and Garrett and the driver was taken into custody for DUI.

Monday, May 30

Suspicious Circumstances: A vehicle was reportedly parked on the grass between the RV Park and Expo Center at 1:53 a.m. with people inside the vehicle talking loudly. Officers asked them to leave the area and they did.

Animal Complaint: Police received a report of 20 loose cows on a property on Garrett Street at 3:46 p.m. The farmer was contacted and the cows were returned to their pasture.

Domestic Dispute: Police received a report of a domestic dispute between a father and son at a residence on McHugh Avenue at 11:40 p.m. The dispute may have been over a missing television. Officers made contact and the issue appears to be resolved.
