Police Blotter for June 3 to June 5

The following arrest information was supplied by the Enumclaw police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, June 3

Driving While License Suspended: A driver was arrested following a traffic stop on State Route 410 on the Buckley side of the bridge at 5:23 a.m. for third-degree driving while license suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft: An XM radio was reportedly stolen from a vehicle parked on Roosevelt Avenue at 10:09 a.m.

Malicious Mischief: Between $300 to $400 in damages including the need to replace six fire extinguishers was reported at the Expo Center at 10:29 a.m. 

Assault/Domestic Violence: A domestic violence/assault incident was reported at a property on Griffin Avenue at 4:55 p.m. between a father and son; the father was taken into custody.

Cell Phone Found: A Motorola touch screen cell phone was found in the bushes on Cole Street at 6:57 p.m. and logged with police for safekeeping.

Non-injury Traffic Accident: A two-car accident was reported on Chinook Avenue at Cinkovich Street at 7:09 p.m. Enumclaw Fire responded to help wash down the roadway due to spilled transmission and radiator fluid.

Child Abuse/Neglect: Customers of a business on Roosevelt Avenue reported at 9:50 p.m. seeing a five-year-old boy left attended and a male subject walk away from the child when he started to have a tantrum. The male appeared intoxicated. He was located and taken into custody; the child was released to a family member.

Saturday, June 4

Suspicious Circumstances: A man was reported walking westbound on McHugh Avenue at 5:56 a.m. and appeared to be injured -- possibly from a fight. While officers responded, the man witnessed a road rage incident; he indicated he was fine and on his way home. He left the scene while police attended to the road rage incident, which was resolved.

Police received two reports of a suspicious man walking around Cole Street at Griffin Street around 8 a.m. without shoes. He indicated he was looking for his cat; he later said he was going home.

Loud and Profane: Two men, about 20 years of age, were reported walking on Pioneer Street at 8:48 a.m. with open containers, being loud and profane. An officer made contact and they agreed to go home to bed.

Assault: An assault was reported on Roosevelt Avenue at 11:25 a.m., though the incident occurred earlier. Aid was refused. At 1:02 p.m. the victim reported he was being approached again by the suspect who he knew only by a first name.

Blown Transformer: Police received a report of a loud explosion in the area of the 1400 block of Florence Street at 2:18 p.m. It was a transformer that blew; Puget Sound Energy was already notified for repair by the homeowner.

Driving While License Suspended: A woman was arrested following a traffic stop on Porter Street at 5:03 p.m. for third-degree driving while license suspended. 

Noise: Police received a noise complaint on McHugh Avenue at 260th Avenue S.E. at 10:33 p.m. There was loud music at a neighbor's party. 

Sunday, June 5

Noise: Police received a noise complaint associated with a party on Jewell Street at 12:45 a.m. A large group of people agreed to move inside.

Trespassing: A group of people were reportedly trespassing in the playground area next to a residence on Riggs Drive East at 2:14 a.m.; there had been problems with vandalism there in the past and signs are posted indicating the park was closed after dusk. Officers contacted three of the subjects and found they didn't live in the area; they were advised to stay out of the area and go home.

Purse Theft: Police received a report at 3:14 p.m. of a woman's purse being stolen out of her vehicle while she was at Montgomery Park.
