A roundup of Enumclaw police reports from Wednesday, May 4 through Tuesday, May 10

Wednesday, May 4

Assault: One person was arrested for assault domestic violence at 7:47 a.m. at a property on Florence Street after officers responded to a 911 hang-up call and found an assault/domestic violence situation. 

Open Container: A man found with an open container consuming alcohol while in a blue truck parked at a gas station on Griffin Avenue at 11:44 a.m. was arrested for physical control. The vehicle was secured and left at the scene.

Dispute: Police responded to an initial report of a domestic dispute between a mother and daughter over alleged theft of cash and prescription bills at 6:11 p.m. at a property on Bondgard Avenue East. The officer, upon contact, determined the reporting party had made suicide threats and then proceeded with an involuntary commit. The reporting party was transported for treatment.

Car Window Broken: A window was reportedly broken on a vehicle parked on Griffin Avenue at 6:55 p.m. Damages amount to about $150.

Reckless Driving: Police located a vehicle that was seen speeding in Pinnacle Estates on Bathke Avenue at 7:53 p.m. and circling through the neighborhood at a high rate of speed. The driver was given a warning to obey traffic laws.

Thursday, May 5

Dispute: A verbal dispute between a mother and daughter was reported at a property on Bondgard Avenue East at 9:14 a.m. All parties agreed to separate and the matter was settled.

Solicitors: A solicitor was reported in the area of Melody Lane at 12:26 p.m. Police advised the subject of a city ordinance prohibiting soliciting and that they need to obtain a permit/license to sell. The subject agreed to leave the area - the matter was settled.

Trespassing: A resident reported her home on Porter Street was entered by unknown subjects two times in the last week; nothing was taken, but extra patrol was requested.

Vehicle Window Broken: The window of a delivery truck parked on Stevenson Avenue at 2:38 p.m. was reported broken out. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

The window of a business van was reported broken out by a rock while parked by the business on Griffin Avenue at 4:28 p.m. Damages amount to about $2,000.

Fire: Police assisted Enumclaw Fire with at a home on the 1800 block of Loraine Street beginning at 2:40 p.m.

School Crossing Patrol: A white BMW has been associated with problems with a school crossing guard at Kibler Elementary School during pick-up hours. Extra patrol has been requested.

Friday, May 6

Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a dispute between a father an daughter at a property on Myrtine Street at 11:33 a.m. It was verbal only.

Accident: A two-car accident with damages was reported at 4:38 p.m. at Griffin Avenue at Clovercrest Street.

Reckless Driving: A light-colored pick-up was reported at 5:22 p.m. to be speeding up and down Loraine Street at all times of the day. Extra patrols have been requested.

Neighbors on Alert: A resident on Garfield Street reported at 8:24 p.m. of a possible drug deal at a neighboring house. The house should be vacant and is bank-owned. Two vehicles were seeing in front of the vacant house. The resident did not see any exchange but reportedly has seen prior activity. The vehicles were described as a blue pick-up and a tan, 4-door sedan. The front and back window of the house was found open. Officer checked the home and secured it.

Fireworks: Police received multiple reports of a single explosion in the area of McHugh Avenue at Shannon Lane at 11:41 p.m. Officers responded and made contact a a party where a subject admitted to setting a homemade firework. They were counseled and the music was turned down.

Saturday, May 7

Assault: Police responded to a report of an assault on Railroad Avenue at 1:57 a.m. The victim declined aid but was too intoxicated to provide a statement. He later returned to the police station to give his statement but did not want to press charges.

Vehicle Prowl/Theft: A laptop computer was reported taken from a vehicle parked on Victor Street at 8:31 a.m. 

Fireworks: Police responded to a report of fireworks at a location on Harding Street at 2:27 p.m. They were advised to cease and desist.

Hit and Run: A hit and run accident was reported at a parking lot on Griffin Avenue at 11:43 p.m. The suspect vehicle is a white Dodge pick-up.

Sunday, May 8

DUI: A driver was arrested for DUI at a drive-thru on Griffin Avenue at 2:03 a.m.

Theft: A red Mongoose bicycle was reported stolen from a location on Kibler Avenue at 12:52 p.m. It had no serial number.

Trespassing: Three juvenile females were reportedly harassing customers of a business on Roosevelt Avenue at 8:08 p.m. They were gone when police arrived but the store was told to call police if they returned so that trespass papers could be served.

Vehicle Prowls: Three male suspects -- one wearing a baseball hat that is dark in the back and white in front -- are associated with three reports of six total vehicle prowls on Christianson Avenue and Farrelly Street between 11:43 p.m. and 12:01 a.m. on Monday, May 9. Items taken from the vehicles include change, a wallet and a Garmin GPS. Footage of the suspects was provided by security video.

Monday, May 9

Vehicle Prowl: A purse was reportedly removed from an unlocked vehicle on Lois Lane. The owner reported at 7:35 a.m. that most of the items in the purse have been returned by joggers as it seemed to be scattered over the roadway. However, credit cards were missing.

Attempted Entry: Two elderly residents on Mountain Villa Drive reported to the manager that unknown subjects attempted to gain entry into their residences several days ago. The manager has requested extra patrol between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Assault: Police responded to a reported assault on Douglas Fir Drive at 3:29 p.m. Three subjects were kicking the associated victim. One person was booked for threats with a weapon.

Possible Squatter: Police investigated a report of a possible squatter at a vacant house on Wells Street at 7:23 p.m. They found evidence of someone having been there and a trip wire/booby trap. And officer made contact with an associated subject who admitted to setting the booby trap. The subject was counseled.

Skate Park Commotion: Police responded to a report of multiple vehicles parked at the skate park on Porter Street at 9:07 p.m. with loud music playing. Subjects were advised of park hours and agreed to leave; one vehicle was cited for a parking violation.

Unwanted Person: A woman was arrested on Auburn warrants after she was reportedly being unruly at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Battersby Avenue at 11:07 p.m. She had already been treated and releasted but was being verbally abusive and refusing to leave.

Tuesday, May 10

Bike Theft: An adult women's bike, maroon/black diamond back mountain bike was reported taken from a bike rack during school hours on Semanski Street at 3:04 p.m. 

DUI: A driver was arrested following a traffic stop on 284th Avenue S.E. at 11:45 p.m. for DUI, second-degree driving while license suspended and an interlock device violation.
