Police Blotter for Oct. 7 to Oct. 9

A roundup of Enumclaw police reports from Friday, October 7 through Sunday, October 9.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. 

Friday, October 7

Fighting with Parents: Police responded to a verbal domestic dispute at a residence on Paramount Drive at 3:52 p.m. between a 21-year-old woman and her parents. The matter was settled.

Theft: The theft of property from a storage shed and back yard behind two residences on 244th Avenue S.E. was reported at 5:29 p.m. and then at 6:21 p.m. 

Noise at the Crystal Saloon: Police responded to a report of a loud base coming from the Crystal Saloon on Roosevelt Avenue East at 11:19 p.m. The soundproof shutters were up but an officer spoke with security to have the base turned down.

Saturday, October 8

Missing Wiring: Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at the intersection of 244th Avenue S.E. and State Route 410 at 1:24 a.m. Several subjects told police they were searching for some wiring the had lost. They were asked to leave the area.

Negligent Driving: A driver was arrested and booked for negligent driving on State Route 410 at Mud Mountain Road at 1:52 a.m.

Assisting Sheriff's Office: Police were called to assist the King County Sheriff's Office and Fire District 28 for an unconscious person seen under a tree on 290th Avenue S.E. at 6:52 a.m., then weaving on foot down 464th. The subject eventually was put in the care of the Sheriff's Office.

Loose Cows: Police received multiple reports of cows running down State Route 410 at 11:23 a.m. When an officer arrived, the owners were already putting the cows away.

Hit and Run: Police received a report of a hit and run at Cole Street at 2:04 p.m. The vehicle involved knocked down a light post on Cole Street.

Assault: An assault reportedly occurred on First Street at 2:50 p.m. involving a male punching the reporting party in the face. He was last seen headed towards Cole Street. Police have contacted the victim again to file a report.

Chimney Fire: Police assisted Fire District 28 firefighters with a chimney fire response at the Chinook Apartments on Chinook Avenue at 6:27 p.m.

DUI: A man was arrested following a traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue at 7:25 p.m. for DUI, third-degree driving while license suspended and assaulting an officer.

Trespassing: An officer observed a known subject trespassing at a property on Monroe Avenue at 8:29 p.m. They were arrested for trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Police Escort: An officer contacted a man who had been drinking lying down in the area of Farman Street North and Roosevelt Avenue East at 11:13 p.m. He was taken home.

Noise at the Crystal Saloon: Police received a complaint of loud music coming from Crystal Saloon on Roosevelt Avenue at 11:15 p.m. The soundproof shutters were up but it was loud when the doors were open. The officer asked that they turn it down for the night.

Sunday, October 9

DUI: A driver was arrested for DUI after being stopped on Roosevelt Avenue East at 1:08 a.m.

Suicidal Man: A man at St. Elizabeth Hospital had reportedly walked away from the hospital at 2:16 a.m. saying he was going to walk into traffic to kill himself. Police found the patient and he was transported to Auburn Regional Hospital for involuntary commitment.

Out of Control: Officers responded to a residence on Chinook Avenue at 10:14 p.m. for a report of an out of control juvenile. The situation was calmed when the youth went to bed.

Jump from Window: Officers responded to a residence on Pioneer Street at 10:24 p.m. following a report of someone jumping from a second story window. They were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital.
