Police Blotter for Sept. 12

Don't hang onto vehicles; stop and stop sign; van just delivering carpet, and more.

The following information was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Dangerous rider: Moped rider reportedly hanging on door of another  vehicle and traveling eastbound on Highway 410. Person denied doing it when contacted by police, who advised the rider of the dangers and consequences of it anyway.

Speeding bikers: Two motorcycles reportedly speeding and passing at double yellow line on Griffin Avenue and Porter Street. Officer counseled them on driving.

Camouflage outfit: Man dressed in camouflage is seen kneeling in bushes on Griffin Avenue. He asked for hot water from barista. Officer advised him to move on. He said he was heading to Maple Valley.

Delivering carpet: White van with no business markings and two Hispanics inside seen driving past residences slowly on Southeast 448th Street. Reporting party had heard of van casing properties. Last seen westbound. Officer located van a few houses away unloading carpet. Driver probably was looking for correct address.

Stop it!: Resident of Division Street and McHugh Avenue requests extra patrol because of vehicles failing to stop at the four-way stop. Person says it happens all day and increases when school starts up.

Suspect booked: Officer went to White River Amphitheatre in Auburn to meet with Algona police and pick up a suspect. Person booked by Enumclaw police for driving with a suspended license.

Dog worries: Person taken to Veterans Administration hospital from senior center. Reporting party concerned about person’s dog. Neighbor on Porter Street will take care of it.
