Police Blotter for Sept. 21 and Sept. 22

A roundup of police reports provided by the Enumclaw Police Department for September 21 and September 22.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Sept. 21

Graffiti: Police found graffiti on the old Skynet building on Cole Street and were investigating whether there was a connection to an for a similar offense.

Burglary: Police happened upon items that belonged to a home on Rainier Avenue when investigating a separate incident at a nearby home at 8:04 a.m. A family member confirmed that the residence had been burglarized.

Noise: A resident on Harmony Lane reported to police that a black Ford pickup drives in the area daily around 4 p.m. with very loud music. Police were unable to follow up at the time of the reporting but will patrol the area.

Accident: A traffic accident that involved a hit-and-run, vehicle theft and obstructing justice was reported on Grand Fir Drive at 4:24 p.m.

DUI: Police received a report of a woman intoxicated on Wells Street at Jefferson Avenue at 10:57 p.m. Officers located the woman in her vehicle and booked her for DUI.

Thursday, Sept. 22

Quit Speeding at Kibler: Extra police patrols have been requested at Kibler Elementary School during drop off and release times, which is around 8:50 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. due to an ongoing issue with cars speeding past, not yielding for children and parking inappropriately.

Theft: The owner of a business on Cole Street reported at 11:54 a.m. that two sweatshirts and a t-shirt were stolen.

Animal Problem: A resident on Stevenson Avenue reported a loose black pitbull-type dog in the area at 4:34 p.m. Police told her they would refer the matter to King County Animal Control as Enumclaw police officers weren't trained to handle animals. 

Don't Put on Stray Handcuffs: Police assisted a woman whose son found some handcuffs by the dumpster at Chinook Park Apartments and put them on but didn't have a key for them. They helped take the cuffs off, which were then destroyed.

Phone Tapping: A woman reported to police she suspected someone was monitoring her cell phone -- she could hear clicking in it. Police advised her to contact her phone company about the issue.

Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Garfield Street at 11:44 p.m. It was verbal only.
