Rape Investigation, Intoxicated Man Posed Traffic Hazard and Dog Fighting Report in Jan. 25 to Jan. 27 Blotter

A roundup of Enumclaw police reports from Friday, Jan. 25 through Sunday, Jan. 27.

Friday, Jan. 25

Fraud: Police responded to Gateway True Value at 3:03 p.m. for a report there was a charge on a vendor account without authorization.

Riding in Car and Arrested: Police arrested three people seen in a vehicle at Southwood Elementary School at 11:12 p.m. for minor in possession, obstruction and a firearm violation.

Noisy Generator: Police responded to a noise complaint at the King's Motel on the 1300 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 11:28 p.m. A guest had parked a refrigerated semi truck next to the building and the noise was bothering guests. The driver was instructed to move the truck to the fairgrounds lot after refusing to shut it down.

Saturday, Jan. 26

Property Damage: Police received a report at 1:39 p.m. that several windows were broken at a vacant commerical building on the 1100 block of Marshall Avenue.

Vehicle Stolen, Found: Police received a report at 5:05 p.m. that a vehicle parked on the 2400 block of Griffin Avenue was stolen. The owner reported at 8:09 p.m. that the vehicle had been returned.

No Soliciting: Police responded to the 800 block of Natalie Place at 5:26 p.m. for a report that unlicensed salespeople were in the area. They were asked to leave and obtain a peddler's license if they wanted to continue.

Traffic Hazard: Police responded to Cole Street at State Route 410 at 6:10 p.m. for a report that a man was walking in and out of traffic. He was given a ride to Buckley.

Overdose: Police responded to the 1900 block of Highpoint Street at 7:38 p.m. with Enumclaw Fire for a report of an overdose. The subject was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Involuntary Commitment: Police and Enumclaw Fire responded to the 100 block of Schmid Street at 8:43 p.m. for a report of an agitated man who refused to work with a counselor. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Sunday, Jan. 27

Traffic Hazard: Police received a report from State Patrol that a drunk man was walking into traffic on State Route 164 between 244th Avenue S.E. and 236th Avenue S.E. and presenting a threat to himself and others. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for an involuntary commitment.

Loud Party: Police responded to the 2000 block of Cole Street at 2:45 a.m. for a report of a loud party; they agreed to turn down the music.

Boots Found: Police have a pair of boots found by a garbage can on the 2900 block of Porter Street in property storage.

Animal Complaint: Police were to contact King County Animal Control regarding a report received at 8 p.m. that there was dog fighting happening at a location on the 2000 block of Stevenson Avenue.

Rape: Police received a report at 8:53 p.m. that an assault occurred at a location on the 1300 block of Porter Street earlier. Police were investigating.

Domestic Disturbance: Police responded to a report of a verbal domestic incident on Roosevelt Avenue at Griffin Avenue at 10:31 p.m.

Hi, Susan and Lou. We do know that our events calendar has issues at the moment with incorrect timesRead More displaying, and our engineering team is at work to correct this. My best suggestion at the moment is to post a comment on an event with the correct time, if you aren't able to go in and edit an event that you previously posted. Our ownership has not changed -- we have been and continue to be a part of the AOL family. Our intent with the new design is to highlight the great content that our users create and share with the community. We know there have been some bumps with our launch and are working diligently to fix them. We hope you'll be patient with us and continue to share on Patch.

I agree the previous version was much better and I am not adjusting well to the new version at all.Read More Its definitely not a better layout. Also have had many problems with the events calendar which may not even be fixable.

Always looking for a local nature trail, I really enjoy reading Mary Janosik's well written blog. InRead More fact, almost all the dedicated bloggers posting on the Enumclaw PATCH have something worthwhile reading. But it is not an easy job for most of us, taking some time to research and write, without any compensation. Our only reward is knowing we are being read and appreciated and the only way we know that is when you comment. In my opinion, most of the PATCH blogs are a community service, informing residents about our community and issues concerning you, our readers. So please send your favorite bloggers a thank you or a comment once in awhile to keep us motivated and feel appreciated..
