Semi Versus Pole Accident and Vandalism in August 24 Blotter

A roundup of Enumclaw police reports from Friday, August 24.

Accident: Police assisted with traffic control following a vehicle versus power pole accident at 8:51 a.m. on the 2300 block of S.E. 436th Street. A semi truck had hit the pole and the power line was draped over the vehicle. Enumclaw Fire and Puget Sound Energy also responded.

Mail Theft: Police received a report at 9:09 a.m. that a piece of mail containing a rent check sent out of the Enumclaw Post Office on Cole Street failed to reach its destination. There were no reported attempts to cash the check yet when the theft was reported.

Vandalism: Extra police patrol was requested for Kibler Elementary due to ongoing minor vandalism issues.

Police took a report at 6:36 p.m. that juveniles shot paint balls at a residence on the 1200 block of Loraine Street, along with a car and fence.

Domestic Disturbance: Police responded to a reported argument between a father and son at 12:37 p.m. on the 1400 block of Garrett Street and confirmed it was verbal only. The 16-year-old agreed to calm down and get in the car with his father.

Police responded to a domestic dispute in progress at 4:04 p.m. at a residence on the 900 block of Myrtine Street; they confirmed it was verbal only.

Hitting On: Police received a report at 3:20 p.m. from a man on the 1300 block of Spruce Drive that a woman was attempting to hit him with her car. Both agreed to cease and desist.

Always looking for a local nature trail, I really enjoy reading Mary Janosik's well written blog. InRead More fact, almost all the dedicated bloggers posting on the Enumclaw PATCH have something worthwhile reading. But it is not an easy job for most of us, taking some time to research and write, without any compensation. Our only reward is knowing we are being read and appreciated and the only way we know that is when you comment. In my opinion, most of the PATCH blogs are a community service, informing residents about our community and issues concerning you, our readers. So please send your favorite bloggers a thank you or a comment once in awhile to keep us motivated and feel appreciated..
