State Patrol Report Suicide of Calif. Man Along State Route 410

A Riverside, Calif., man found in his car was pronounced deceased Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospital after he was taken there with self-inflicted wounds, a Washington State Patrol press memo said.

Mark G. Goodyear, 60, was reportedly parked in his vehicle on the shoulder of State Route 410 at milepost 36.5 near Greenwater shortly after 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Trooper George Engelbright said the wounds came from a knife and that citizens in the area first reported the incident as a possible collision. However, officials who responded found only a single vehicle was involved.
