Two Vehicle Thefts, Two DUIs and Christmas Yard Ornaments Damaged in Jan. 11 to Jan. 13 Blotter

A roundup of Enumclaw police reports from Friday, Jan. 11 through Sunday, Jan. 13.

Friday, Jan. 11

Vehicle Theft: A vehicle reported stolen from the 2200 block of Porter Street at 6:46 a.m. was recovered by King County Sheriff's Office and Washington State Patrol on Saturday at 1:54 p.m. from the 30600 block of Green River Gorge Road. Tires were missing.

Domestic Disturbance: Police arrested a suspect for fourth-degree assault domestic violence after responding to a report of threats involving a knife at 7:27 a.m. at an address on the 2000 block of Roosevelt Avenue.

Truancy: Police responded to a property on the 200 block of Semanski Street at 8:04 a.m. to contact a group of juveniles who reportedly hang out in the area and don't go to school.

Gas Theft: Police received a report at 10:33 a.m. that one gallon of gas was siphoned from a vehicle parked on the 400 block of Griffin Avenue.

Possession: Police responded to the 200 block of Semanski Street at 11:33 a.m. for a report someone was detained for marijuana; officers handled the destruction of the item.

Saturday, Jan. 12

DUI: Police arrested one person for DUI and third-degree driving while license suspended following a traffic stop on the 100 block of Jewell Street at 3:34 a.m.

Vehicle Theft: Police received a report at 9:15 a.m. that a vehicle was stolen from a parking lot on the 1300 block of Roosevelt Avenue East.

Sunday, Jan. 13

DUI: Police arrested a driver for DUI at 2:11 a.m. on Porter at Battersby after responding to a report of a subject with open containers acting rowdy.

Vehicle Fire: Police and fire responded to a vehicle fire on Porter Street at Kibler Avenue at 2:49 a.m. The fire had spread from the rear passenger area to the back.

Elder Assistance: Police responded to the 500 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 11:05 a.m. for a report an elderly man was seen behind the wheel of a vehicle parked on State Route 410 with his foot on the brake. He appeared confused and lost. State Patrol provided a ride home and relatives were making arrangements to pick up the vehicle, which was legally parked.

Property Damage: Police received a report from a resident on the 200 block of Grand Fir Drive at 1:25 p.m. that two inflatable Christmas ornaments on her frotn yard were damaged. The damages were estimated to be $349.

Police received a report at 5:31 p.m. that a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Semanski Street had been damagd - possibly as a result of being egged.

Citizen Assistance: Police gave a ride home to a person seen wandering near the 100 block of McKean Court at 2:13 p.m., who may have been intoxicated.
