Washington State Patrol Basic Class Starts April 30

A 'walk-in' testing event takes place March 16 and those who pass could be considered for employment as early as April

Editor's Note: The following is a press release issued Tuesday by the Washington State Patrol.

Have you ever considered becoming a Washington State Trooper?  The WSP faces some unique challenges that require immediate testing and screening for qualified candidates who think they’ve got what it takes to become troopers.

As part of a strategic effort, the WSP will be hosting a “walk-in” testing event where successful candidates may be considered for employment as soon as April! If ever there was a better time to test, it is now!

For people interested in joining the WSP by participating in our “walk-in” testing event:

Date: Friday, March 16, 2012
Time: 7:30 a.m.
Location: Washington State Patrol Headquarters, 210 11th Ave SW, Olympia, WA

“Walk-in” testing means just bring your completed Trooper Cadet Application and have a photo ID with you.  Please wear appropriate attire and bring a change of clothes for the physical fitness test.  The “walk-in” testing will include both a written exam and a physical fitness test.

To obtain an application and for more information about location and directions, please visit our website at http://www.wsp.wa.gov/employment/trooper.htm or contact either of our recruiters; which can further assist you with testing information based on your geographical region:
