Witnesses Sought for Fatality on State Route 410 Wednesday

Washington State Patrol detectives are looking for more witnesses from Wednesday's pedestrian collision that killed 16-year-old Justin Relethford.

Additional witnesses are needed to the pedestrian collision in which young man lost his life on Halloween night.

According to the Washington State Patrol, just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, a pickup versus pedestrian fatal collision occurred on westbound State Route 410 (milepost 23) in Enumclaw.  

Two pedestrians, a male and female, were walking on the right shoulder when the male pedestrian, 16-year-old Justin Relethford of Enumclaw, was struck near the westbound fog line by a Nissan pickup truck. He did not survive his injuries from the collision.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 20 year old from Buckley, is under investigation for Vehicular Homicide. The female pedestrian, a 16 year old from Enumclaw was did not report any injury from the collision.

The cause of the collision is under investigation and detectives are seeking additional witnesses that may have seen the collision or any event leading up to or following the crash.
