Woman, Two Children Hurt in ATV Accident in Selleck

Investigators are looking into whether or not alcohol was involved.

A 31-year-old woman and two children ages 8 and 10 were injured when the ATV they were riding struck a tree.

The ATV was traveling westbound on the south shoulder of S.E. 252nd Street at about 5:50 p.m. when it drove off of the shoulder at the 35300 block of S.E. 252nd Street and down a steep ravine, striking a tree.

The woman suffered critical head injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.  The children received minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The King County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Response and Reconstruction Detectives are investigating the accident, including whether or not alcohol was involved, said Sgt. Cindi West.
