City Now Taking Applications for Enumclaw Community Garden 2013

Applications for plots will be accepted through April 1 on a first-come first-served basis.

Enumclaw's Community Development Director Erika Shook shares an update regarding the Community Garden for this year:

It is almost spring and many of you have contacted us about plots in the pea-patch. This year we will again be charging a fee of $20 per plot to cover the cost of water and the yard waste container. In addition, gardeners will be asked to volunteer at one or more work parties to clean-up and maintain the pea patch during the growing season.

City staff will be weeding paths, spreading mulch, and tilling the plots this month; these tasks will be done prior to plot assignment on April 5th.

Applications for plots will be accepted through April 1st on a first-come first-serve basis. (Applications are attached with this story.) Two plots will not be assigned to any one person unless unassigned plots remain after April 1st. There will be a voluntary work party toward the middle of the growing season to pull weeds and for general clean up.

If you have any questions or need additional assistance, please contact Anita Koch at 360.825.3594.
