City of Enumclaw News: King County Metro Seeks Input and PSE Rebate for Switching to City Gas

City staff have updated its website this week with news that King County Metro looking for input on bus service in county areas and PSE customers with an electric water heater could get a $950 rebate for switching to city gas.

We were checking the city of Enumclaw website (www.cityofenumclaw.net) for news on future city council meetings when we saw two quick items that city residents might want to be aware of:

King County fixed-route bus service: King County Metro Transit is asking for your opinion on their fixed-route bus services. Two King County ordinances (17143 and 17169) are requiring King County Metro Transit to find alternative service options in areas of the county where regular fixed-route bus services are not cost-effective. Their five-year plan will be presented to King County Council in June, and over the next two weeks, they are inviting the public to help shape this plan. (Click here for more information.)

Get $950 when you convert your electric water heater to natural gas supplied by the City of Enumclaw: If you are a Puget Sound Energy customer with an electric water heater, you may be eligible for a $950 rebate from PSE to switch your water heating source to City of Enumclaw natural gas.
To learn if you qualify for this rebate or find a contractor, visit PSE.com/Rebates or call a PSE Energy Advisor at 1-800-562-1482, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Click here for more information.)

Always looking for a local nature trail, I really enjoy reading Mary Janosik's well written blog. InRead More fact, almost all the dedicated bloggers posting on the Enumclaw PATCH have something worthwhile reading. But it is not an easy job for most of us, taking some time to research and write, without any compensation. Our only reward is knowing we are being read and appreciated and the only way we know that is when you comment. In my opinion, most of the PATCH blogs are a community service, informing residents about our community and issues concerning you, our readers. So please send your favorite bloggers a thank you or a comment once in awhile to keep us motivated and feel appreciated..
