Council Holds Three Public Hearings at Tonight's Meeting

The public is invited to speak up about three issues the Enumclaw City Council will be discussing tonight.

Tonight's Enumclaw City Council meeting includes three public hearings for the following:

  • 268th Avenue S.E. Annexation: Council will consider adopting a resolution accepting the 60 percent annexation petition for the proposed 101-acre 268th Avenue S.E. Annexation. If approved the next step is for city staff to prepare and submit a Notice of Intent to Annex to the Washington State Boundary Review Board for King County. The area under consideration is northeast of city limits between S.E. 432nd Street and S.E. 424th Street. It includes parcels on the east and west sides of 268th Avenue S.E. and those properties on the north side of S.E. 432nd Avenue, immediately north of the .
  • Site-specific Comprehensive Plan Amendments and Rezones:Β 
    • Fiske Apartments: Changing 9.21 acres from single-family residential to multi-family residential and changing zoning designation from R-2 (Moderate Density Single-Family Residential) to R-4 (Multifamily Residential)
    • JE Work: Changing 37 acres from single-family residential to mixed density residential and changing zoning designation from R-2 to RHMP (Residential Mobile Home Park)
    • Finn Investments/Dave Treat: Changing roughly two acres from commercial to multi-family residential and changing zoning designation from Highway and Community Business to R-4. The proposal also includes a zoning code amendment eliminating the maximum size of an assisted living facility, which is currently 60 units. Instead, size is determined by the size of the building that meets development standards required by the zoning code.
