Last of Four Budget Workshops Tonight

The Enumclaw City Council is expected to wrap up discussions of the 2012 budget tonight, ahead of public hearings next Monday regarding both the budget itself and the property tax levy for next year.

The Enumclaw City Council and administrative staff are set to carry over agenda items that remain from including discussion ofΒ the facilities fund, contingency fund, lodging tax fund, REET, cemetery fund, property mangement fund and debt service funds into tonight's final budget workshop that is open to the public.

Last week's workshop also saw a new voice enter the conversation over the fate of the though no action was taken at the time as no formal proposal had been submitted.

What remains on tonight's agenda, then, is a citywide summary followed by review and discussion.

The Council is expected to discuss the proposed . Councilman Mike Ennis has been vocal in his support of the full rollback while Councilman Rich Elfers has said it was going to threaten the city's ability to fund core services for next year. ()

Tonight's workship begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall. It will also be televised on ECTV Channel 21.
