What are the primary reasons you are running for Enumclaw City Council?

I believe I have the skills to help the city council and the administration turn around some of our underperforming properties. I have been turning around troubled business for the last 25 years as a private business owner. My wife, Dr. Holly Dickson, and I are raising our six children in Enumclaw. I am committed to make Enumclaw
a thriving place for youth, children and senior citizens in our community. I have been an Enumclaw Rotarian for the last 10 years. Last year I had the opportunity to serve as president of the Enumclaw Rotary Club. I am a current member of the Enumclaw Parks and Recreation Board. I believe that my Rotary and business contacts, and skill set, will be able to help Enumclaw prosper and increase the quality of life for the members of our community.

What are your top three priorities if you get elected?

Economic growth, balance the budget, and fiscal responsibility. Create a positive environment for youth, children and our seniors to flourish. Help turn around underperforming city assets and help Enumclaw on the road to prosperity .

What sets you apart from other candidates?

I am a fiscal conservative. I grew up in Enumclaw and went K-12 in the Enumclaw School District. I am a business owner since 1987. I am not a politician. I work well with others that want to help you. I am persistent and tenacious in getting things done that I feel will be beneficial for our community. I know how important it is to study all your options, get feedback from the community and experts, limit liability, then make the best choice and then execute in making a decision. I am an Enumclaw Rotarian that has helped raise thousands of dollars for the needs of our community over the last 10 years. I have family roots tied to Enumclaw that go back to the 1880’s. I pay a significant amount of property taxes in Enumclaw each year. I am vested in Enumclaw. I have our interest at heart. I understand that it is the private sector that will create jobs and prosperity for our community not the government.

How much money do you expect your campaign to spend on this election?

Less than $10,000
