Primary Results: King County Parks Levy, Executive Race Remain Unchanged

An updated round of election results show the parks measure is still passing 69 to 31 percent.

The latest round of primary ballot results from King County Elections shows the parks levy passing 69 to 31 percent—the same margin reported Tuesday evening.

Incumbent Dow Constantine picked up another percentage point in the race for executive, according to a second round of results released at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Constantine now leads the pack with 75 percent of the vote, while Alan E. Lobdell has a solid hold on second place.

King County Elections' next update is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Results will be certified Aug. 20.

Constantine issued a statement on Wednesday thanking voters for their support of the parks levy:

“King County voters have spoken clearly: We value our incredible system of 200 parks, hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, thousands of acres of open space, and such regional gems as Marymoor Park and the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center," he said. '“That’s why this levy is so important. It provides more than 70 percent of the funding to keep these parks open and accessible to all."
